Product Description

Nurtured by Nature diapers take an innovative environmental approach while incorporating super premium diaper quality. Nurtured by Nature diapers respect your baby’s skin, perform like a super premium diaper, and offer a competitive price. Like the highest quality premium brands, Nurtured by Nature offers a stretch waist, full-stretch side panels, premium absorbency (with a bio-based absorbent) and a design-printed backsheet. But the environmental impact of Nurtured by Nature diapers is very different from leading national brands. Approximately two-thirds of the materials used in the leading diaper brands are synthetic and are derived from non-renewable resources. The production of these materials consumes valuable petrochemical resources and in some cases creates adverse environmental impacts. Nurtured by Nature Diapers are designed to reduce the environmental footprint created by the production and consumption of disposable diapers. Unlike most diapers, the absorbent padding material in Nurtured by Nature diapers is totally Chlorine-Free. Dioxins and organochlorides are not released into the air or water. Nurtured by Nature diapers also use less synthetic gel material in the absorbent core by blending an innovative bio-based absorbent material with traditional absorbent gel material. Finally, the backsheet and topsheet of Nurtured by Nature diapers contain 50% plant-starch based Ingeo (TM) fiber, an annually renewable resource. (Formerly Natural Choice brand diapers)

    1. Hannah L. Naylor says:

They’re a bit stiffer than your average diaper, but they’re eco friendly and an okay price. Probably not great if you have a really heavy wetter though. I’ve had no problems with leaks though.

    2. C. Harlow says:

My son has eczema and a high sensitivity to diapers and soaps. For the longest time, I could only use cloth diapers with a specific brand of detergent. I love cloth diapers, but I am SO glad to have finally found a disposable brand that I can use!

My son has never had a problem with these diapers, whereas he’s had issues with 6 other brands we had tried.

I love their cut. When it’s the right sized diaper, it never leaks!

And I love that they are environmentally sensitive. Now I can have the convenience of disposables without the guilt! (Sorry cloth diapers!!)

We cloth diaper our daughter, but use disposables when taking her to church, for long day trips, or vacations. I have normally used 7th Generation diapers and like those a lot, but I noticed that these were a little cheaper and decided to try them. They are great diapers! The side tabs stretch nicely for a nice fit. I will buy these again in the future.

    4. MD,PhD,MOM says:

I used to use these diapers because they were the cheapest of the environmentally friendly diapers (compared to Seventh Generation and Earth’s Best). I had signed up for the Subscribe and Save, to save the 15%, making them an even better deal. However, they suddenly increased the price of the diaper dramatically (making them more expensive than Earth’s Best, which I like best), and did not notify me. So, I feel that I was tricked into paying the now higher price by amazon! Check the per diaper cost before buying!

    5. Seattle parent says:

I too have used the Natural Choice diapers for almost a year and liked them a lot. However, there have been issues with tabs being seared to the diaper so that individual diapers could not be used. This happened with 3-5 diapers in each of my last 2 boxes and when I tried to bring this to the company’s attention it took several phone calls back and forth to finally get a live person. When I did, I was asked to ship the diaper back to them so they could do quality control and was offered a $5 Amazon gift certificate. The gift certificate and their package for shipping were both delayed…

Then, this month, my monthly “subscribe and save” shipment never came, nor did I receive any message or explanation from Amazon when my shipment was missed. I looked and Amazon was reporting that it was out of stock. Today, I received a new message from Amazon saying they’d been replaced by these “new” diapers, and had been sent without my requesting the new brand.

So, I came here looking to find out if these diapers would be any good only to find they are the same as the old ones, only more costly with fewer diapers per shipment! I am less than pleased, given that the prior-named ones weren’t cheap! I will say that they do seem better for the environment, work well, and we’ve had very few problems with diaper rash and leaking. However, I do seriously question if they are worth the expense and hassle. Unfortunately, there is no Kroger near me.
